“I grew 10 minutes from Valparaiso and the home of @orvillepopcorn so I was so thrilled when a friend sent me this limited edition popcorn bourbon by @journeyman_distillery. No, it doesn’t taste like popcorn or movie theater butter. It’s made with popcorn,” he posted on Facebook. “It’s awesome and reminds me of NW Indiana. This bourbon is only available in Valpo but @journeyman_distillery has a bunch of stuff you should check out.”
More than 2,700 people liked and 250 people shared his post on Facebook.
Gaffigan, whose father ran Mercantile National Bank in Hammond before it was acquired by Harris Bank, graduated from La Lumiere in LaPorte County and played football at Purdue University. He went on to become one of the nation’s foremost stand-up comedians with specials on Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Comedy Central that have repeatedly earned Grammy Award nominations.
